Any recent experience with authenticating documents. I arrived in Thailand 3 years ago and at the time they made me certify my documents at the US embassy. Now I found this change to immigration law from the US embassy website saying that they no longer requires authentication of documents from the US. I'm going into immigration soon to add my step son to my visa. Do I need to certify his documents, (birth certificate, etc) , or can I just bring in this letter to immigration along with my originals and copies?

Anyone tried in Kuala Lumpur? What do they mean by "authenticated by the embassy" - i have an LLC in the US, and contracts with clients in the US. How do i get them authenticated?

Allow me a question please... about retirement visa process for Americans... I'm over 50 and have pensions... my SSAN alone is over the 800,000 baht requirement...

Recently, I obtained a "pdf" soft-copy letter from the US Social Security Admin... Thai immigration says get the US Consul in Chiang Mai to authenticate it... I've contacted the Consul... but their automatic responses are as clear as mud...

Do I make an appointment for notary services or what? They have more info about what they will not do... than what they, will do to help citizens in Thailand.

Any Americans in Thailand who have dealt with this stamping/notarizing and accomplished this?

Informed input will be appreciated. T I A

Hello,

I need some advice about US legal documents to use when getting a Thai visa (such as degree certificate and marriage certificate).

I am currently living in Chiang Mai and the US embassy doesn't offer notarization or other types of certification for these types of documents.

Does anyone have experience or advise with how to get this accomplished?

Thank you

(My embassy already athenticated it, and has seal and its already in English.)I tried googling and found some infos, but just want to make sure. Thank you! 🙏🏻

I'd like to register my marriage in Thailand (I'm a US citizen married to a Thai national). Is this possible to do with me in the US and my wife in Thailand. Can I authenticate my passport and marriage certificate in the US and mail my wife the documents for her to complete the process in Thailand? Thank you!

I've been told I need to have my son's birth certificate verified by the British Embassy in Bangkok, but I live in Krabi. Has anyone experience with this? Obviously now isn't time to be traveling there in person so I'm wondering if it's possible to send it by post?

Hello, everybody! My husband, baby, and I will be going to Penang next week to apply for a Non-B visa for me (teaching) and 2 Non-O visas for my family members to follow me. We are currently looking at this checklist of requirements, and are curious about this wording: “The document must be authenticated by the embassy of its country of origin.” Does this mean we have to take these two documents to our embassy for additional authentication? I am only concerned because we did have to do that for our marriage certificate in the past.

For a NI-OA Visa, when submitting the original criminal record document supplied by the State of Minnesota (USA), are you required to authenticate the document? What have others done here? It's not clear to me. Can I just sign the bottom of it and have my signature notarized?
