All documents related to visa application must be notarized. Bank statements do not need to be notarized. I applied for visa from Vietnam 5 days ago.

I made an appointment on the website and brought the documents to submit to them. To be more sure, you can email them to ask for details, they usually reply very quickly and enthusiastically.

Oh, interesting. I need to do it before October 10th when my ED visa in Thailand expires. So you have to book an apt on their website and just bring all doc's OR do you have to apply online as well?Vu ************

They have general documentation requirements for this visa application.You can refer here... One advantage is that in Vietnam, there are currently few people applying for this visa, so the embassy processes it very quickly, taking only about 1 to 3 working days.

You know this for sure? How do you know this? Some countries only allow residents of that country to apply for the DTV. Korea is an example of this. So are other countries. Can you show evidence that non-residents of Vietnam can apply in Vietnam?Seb ********
Notarization is not a requirement in most other countries and the OP asked about Malaysia.
