TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the process of document authentication required for the Thai O-A visa application for UK citizens. Several comments share experiences, indicating that while some individuals have used solicitors for authentication of documentation, others inquired about the UK's Post Office authentication service alternatives. It's highlighted that notarized copies can be accepted if originals are also submitted. The community reflects a generally straightforward process with solicitors, although alternative methods are being considered.
I think you only need photocopies signed if you are NOT submitting the originals as well and are using photocopies only. The Thai embassy web page says that photocopies submitted without an original must be signed, and they can be signed by a Notary Public Officer or Solicitor.
