ORIGINAL POSTERPosting my experience getting a certificate of residency in Bangkok, Thailand. Just submitted everything today at Div. 1.
There's a lot of questions on whether you can get one and the answer is yes you absolutely can on a DTV or any other tourist visa provided you have the supporting documents.
There are signs all over the area saying they only provide services for residents of Bangkok.
As for needing a 90 day report? I have no idea. I provided one.
Submitted:
1. Passport photo copies of both the bio page and visa stamp
2. TDAC
3. 90 day report
4. Visa
5. Lease agreement
6. TM30
The process is pretty quick and easy. Was only 6th in the queue and then I had to update my TM30 because of some errors. When I came back at about 10am I was no. 2 in the queue. Doesn't seem like there all that many people getting resident certificates. Maybe I got lucky today.
Was given a receipt and told to come back in a week to pick it up.
Also, it's free now. Maybe because they don't have to cover the shipping costs anymore.
