I'm Canadian and am researching my options to return and spend time in Thailand. If I acquire a 60 day tourist visa, can I potentially apply and receive another 60 days without having to leave the country? If so, how reliable is the renewal option?

I’m moving to Thailand in September and I’m thinking about the several visa options.

For instance: if gay marriage will be legalized, what are the basic requirements to get a ‘partner-visa’? Do you really need to have a shit load of money to be able to financially support your Thai husband?

And, if I won’t get a work permit as a teacher of English, for how long and how often can I renew my tourist visa?
