The consensus among community members is that there is no imminent plan to lift the quarantine restrictions in Thailand due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Several comments suggest it could take many months, with speculation ranging from mid-2021 to as late as 2022 or 2023 for any significant changes. There are also discussions about potential extensions of existing quarantine measures, particularly in response to new COVID-19 variants. Updates on the situation seem to depend on factors like vaccination rates within the kingdom and broader international conditions.

I see some message this morning that they are considering the option of lifting the quarantine, for people that are vaccinated.
it’s not factual it just an idea that’s being supposedly thought of to get tourists back,we could all be stuck the way we are for the rest of the year but let’s hope not🙏🏻

Forget it untill they have mass vaccinations , which wont be untill the last quarter of this year . Not even due to start for a couple of months .

I didn't say they would be finished , but older and vulnerable will be done and as shown in Israel and the UK , the first jab gives the most immunity . With the very low levels of infection rates here in Thailand it could be enough to relax the rules . But Hey this is Thailand and we can speculate all day . Its just been announced that long term visa Ex Pats and Work Permit holders will be included in the vaccine roll out , as there's no point leaving a large section of the population unprotected .
last quarter of this year is very optimistic. 70 million people in Thailand. Heard immunity will be achieved when 80% of the population are vaccinated. That is 56 million people or 112 million injections. I hate to say it but realistically we could be looking at fourth quarter 2022, and that would involve injecting well over 1 million a week.

Have the numbers of Covid gone drastically down in Europe/America,etc ?
Will Thailand lift the requirements? I don't see that.
It's rather the other around: Especially in Europe they do impose quarantine now as well. But in many cases in a very "lukewarm" form: Just stay at home.
But checks have shown that in many many cases this did not work at all.
Only England wants me to go in isolation, before I can go offshore.
Next month I go Denmark
And I can go straight to my ship
Africa
Same story
At least the countries I worked so far

There is nothing in the works OR even being floated by the powerz-that-b here indicating that they will waive quarantine for vaccinated foreigners any time soon.
based on a total guess, which I made quite clear and hope I'm wrong!

Darren Dix Your wish was already granted - you're wrong already - on sooooooooooooo many levels - why add you worthless opinion here, it has no foundatiom....
I just got back from Pattaya today back to Phuket and Pattaya’s beach and sea is the worst in Thailand I’m sure. Beaches in Phuket are absolutely stunning 👌
P.S i think you are right about the date Nikkei index just released a fairly detailed breakdown of where countries are at with vaccinations last week and Thailand was march 2022 . Singapore goverment today released there figures and Nikkei report almost exact.
At least they cannot blame the tourists this year.

Well as UK are just starting quarantines as well and making it illegal to go anywhere and already saying no travel abroad for the whole summer it’s only time before everywhere is the same and no tourism anywhere at all.. worlds fked
my thoughts on that are. Think of a sentence containing the words close, stable, door, horse and bolted. The mismanagement of this pandemic in the U.K. has been unbelievable.
Short answer no. Longer answer when 80% of the Kingdom are vaccinated. As the richest countries in the world are arguing about when they are going to be getting their vaccine delivered getting vaccines in Thailand will be a problem. The one saving grace is the Oxford vaccine is now being manufactured in Thailand. The facility won’t be up to full speed for a couple of months yet.
I agree. A vaccine supply chain is a complex thing. Although the sense of community will help a lot. If a village is to be vaccinated on a certain date the local community will make sure everyone is there to be vaccinated.
yes the local orbortor is actually in place and well organised for this situation. I live in Samat Sakorn and they were on loud speaker every morning advising everyone of the situation
