Should I fly into Phuket or directly to Bangkok given the current quarantine rules for vaccinated travelers?

Hello, I'm a vaccinated US citizen planning to arrive in Thailand in July. Should I fly into Phuket in hopes the mandatory quarantine is lifted by then? Then make my way to Bangkok, as it's my desired destination. I figured, if quarantine isn't lifted in Phuket by then, I'd have to pay the ASQ accommodation anyways in Bangkok. Only cost I'd lose is the transportation from Phuket to Bangkok. Thoughts?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a vaccinated US citizen, is considering flying into Phuket with the hopes that mandatory quarantine will be lifted by July. The discussion revolves around the current and expected quarantine rules, with comments suggesting that quarantine might still be required, regardless of vaccination status. There are considerations about whether to plan for Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) in Bangkok instead. Overall, the consensus leans towards planning for continued quarantine measures.

They are talking of delaying the July 1st thing in Phuket and with the increase in cases thats highly likely.

I would plan ASQ in Bangkok with reduced quarantine time

Vaccinated makes no difference (yet). Expect quarantine to still be in place by your planned visit. For the rest - you can hope ...

It's a no brainer. It's only about £60.

No quarantine is as of now oct-dec tier 3...jul-sep tier 2 with 7 day quarantine and only roam around that district and after 7 days a free man,,could change many times since their vaccination is not very rapid. Good luck..
