The current plan best case scenario is July 1 for Phuket and oct 1 for Bangkok, no quarantine if vaccinated. Neither is finalized yet, and cases are making all time highs by the day so no promises.

is the Phuket sandbox still a thing? I thought this idea was scrapped a long time ago?

they are vaccinating still and even foreigners now so they are trying. But until in Royal Gazette I would not count on it. I am also not sure how they will react if they open sandbox and then find the virus... I would love to go myself but I am skeptical at best right now :)

I get it but just try to observe if the Phuket opening happens and then make a decision based on that outcome. But I have problems seeing more densely populated areas opening up soon like BKK.
