No, I have not but have heard of it happening here in the USA. Best to have an address and if ever asked you are traveling. Never say you have moved out of the country, fast way to get account closed and no I would never move my assets to Thailand or any other country for that matter. Just transfer what you need when you need it.
Yikes, I have been married and divorced a few times. Lucky I was young and did not lose too much and no kids still to this day, still no fun and cost plenty in the USA. Not planning on going down that road again, no need. Asked my Thai girlfriend many questions one of which do you want to get married, she said no. She does have a house, car and assets so she probably wants to keep it, thinking like a GUY. Hahaha
I agree, especially about the minimum of 6 months, more like one year or more. You need a lot of time to get to know someone and short visits do not count. If she is interested in you she does not need to marry right away and will wait, if it is you that wants to marry right away, buyer be warned.
