Thanks for the information. Do you know if it is possible to get these things checked and/or cancelled through the Thai consulate in my current location, Georgia (country, not US state)?
Hi Tod, I have a similar situation. Currently I am out of the country, planning to arrive in December on an entry stamp (2 people). Partner's ed visa was two years ago. Didn't cancel extension. Not sure if my school cancelled my WP. Is it possible to have the same problem arriving as tourists?
How many days before can/should I do this? Is it the employer who cancels the WP? How can it be done without overstay? If I get it wrong will it bar me from entering as a tourist in the future?
Tried it about six months ago. They sent us away. Some guys on telegram were selling appointments for $200 sent to a Russian or Ukrainian bank account at that time. We were not ready to use that service, so re-entered Thailand on a 45 day stamp.
Just to add some additional stuff - you need to show plane tickets out of Thailand within the 60 day period. You also need to show three months of bank statements - 20,000 baht per month you plan to stay in Thailand. Bus tickets are no good. You don’t need to show proof of how you plan to enter Thailand, just write on the form e.g. bus/train etc.
