he hasn't got his visa, so he is arriving without one (visa exempt) his query is about when his 90 day visa gets approved, does it matter that the port of entry on the visa application with different from his actual port of entry. 🤷‍♂️

No, but you will get 60 days visa exempt entry. Visa on arrival is only 15 days and only applies to a handful of countries

thebdiggerence does matter. Tour advice would see people queue at a visa on arrival desk when it doesn't apply to them. Not only that, but most, if not all, visa on arrival cannot be extended. It's like me selling you a mini and telling you it's the same as a porsche.
