Correct. TDAC, entry history and DTV issuance date. All are accessible and may be used in the future to clean up if needed.

Anonymous participant 949 These are extreme and unlikely cases. Keep in mind that this is a tourist visa relatives are not supposed to live in Thailand. In 99% of situations where someone returns while their application is still being processed, it’s not an emergency; they are simply misinformed or believe they can bypass the law. And all of that just for the excuse of saving a few pennies (neighboring countries are cheaper than Thailand?!) or simply for their own convenience.

Happy Thailand Okay got your point. I do agree but there is no long-term guarantee as IOs have a full history of entries and the DTV issuance date also appears on the documents.

Wrong. Plenty of posts of people denied for this reason here. Plenty of people required to prove their location or had to go for an interview.

Nope. You can’t. Plenty of embassies have warnings about this on their websites. They may ask for proof of your location, photos of every page in your passport, and even an interview. If they find out you entered Thailand during the process, you’ll be denied. Did some people manage to do it? Yes, but others got caught and lost their fees. There will still be a record of your entries in the immigration system, and the date of issuance of your visa is also listed. If immigration ever wants to play with you at the border, they can.

Anonymous participant On embassies' websites. They are plenty of applicants who got denied for this very reason.
