It's a very easy switch. After you get your DTV make sure to get a letter from your school saying that you are finished with your studies so you can bring that letter to immigration and formally close out your ED visa. It takes your school about a week to get the letter. Bring it with your passport and copies of your passport pages and you'll be done in a few hours. That's what I did
