I trust you have a Thai tax number, as they will link that to your visa in the future as per the announcement this week

well you clearly don’t live here permanently, and clearly have no experience of having a link ID yet you comment as if you do.

domestic air travel in Thailand I use my link ID , i completely disagree on hospitals, i solely use mine at government hospitals, im obviously pre registered - I said it helps with banks and institutions, I didn’t say you don’t have to show your passport , obviously when you open an account but it can help you access services.

I’m two hours north of Phuket and we have had far less rain than you have had. Last year we had rain continuously for 4 months.

I disagree entirely, it’s got me into numerous attractions paying Thai price including grand palace and white temple, it’s helped in my dealings with the Amphoe , the Thai tax authorities, getting government hospital care and saves time continuing the care I need. , I use it as ID to travel , I don’t have to carry my passport around with me, it’s helped me open an interest bearing account where I keep the monies required for my visa , it’s even helped me with immigration and police checkpoints insofar as they automatically assume foreigners are tourists but when they realise I’m long term resident the demeanour changes a bit.

It saves time and bureaucracy with any institution or government dealings.

Clearly you either don’t have a pink ID or you don’t use yours properly
