You cant get a Work Permit as an individual, only a company can get that for you. So apply for jobs first.

Why does Bangkok Bank frequently lock expat accounts without notice?

I withdrew all but 15baht from my BangkokBank account two days ago after hearing all kinds of stories. Transferred it all to my Kasikorn account which has been issue free for decades and who refunded a fraud amount within hours once reported - and all over the phone.

I can't recall what visa it was but I got it as an elderly expat supported by an adult Thai daughter at that time. Then they suddenly stopped that option and I was asking it was ever re-instated as a visa type.

I have a Bangkok branch Kasikorn account but have lived in Pattaya for 16 years with no need to change branch. A Pattaya branch handled everything I needed including debit card

I somehow can always use up the 5's and 10's but the 1 baht coins are collected and once a year donated to the many temple collection efforts that happen.
