don’t know mate, may be there are better options nearby. The idea of DTV is to attract new people=money to the country, so e-visa works just fine for someone who resides and applies at the home country. Not sure how this works in visa-run cases. Took about 2 weeks to get e-visa approval.
Apply in Aus if you are in Aus. They require a proof of residence (utility bill/drivers license/etc). Proof of balance did the job, but recheck requirements before you apply, could be changed by then. I’d apply now because who knows
mentioned. Immi still could run a silent check in case they've got resources for that. So for now e-visa is just a simpliest way to get a visa considering you are applying through a home country consulate that accepts e-visa applications.
