if recovery begins in earnest that soon I'll be very surprised, but waiting till at least the middle of next year seems prudent. Based solely on the predicted upswing in tourist arrivals and (hopefully) some much needed economic stimulation. Doing it now would be a huge gamble and a needless one too. Def better to wait. Hope all is well in the Netherlands.

true. I don't want to shit on Nils' or anyone else's dream, but starting up a business this year seems (to any sensible person) to be a baaaad idea. The economy is and will continue to shrink and Thais are being hit hard, across the class spectrum, and of course there's no tourists, and doesn't look like there will be for the forseeable future.

Terrible idea right now. Look at the current economic situation here, and like most of the world, the fallout from these absurd lockdowns has yet to be felt by the wider society. Save yourself the expense and headache mate. Wait a while and reconsider next year.

Do it all through a good visa agent whenever pos. Always easier... if you have a reliable one. Being honest and by the book gets you nowhere in Thailand unfortunately. I can recommend one (an agent) if you need. Feel your pain. Good luck
