What about re-entry? Is it a single entry visa for the whole (up to) 1 year? To leave and come back, could I get a reentry permit of some sort?

Yes, he has an onward ticket to Cambodia within 15 days that he used to get the Thailand pass. I'm not sure if he was planning on actually using the ticket or just cancelling it, but it's looking more likely that he will use it now 😂

Got it, that's good news. Apparently he already has a flight to Cambodia which he used to get his Thailand pass already, so maybe popping out and then back is the best way to do things legally

Follow up question, if he were to leave after 15 days and go to Cambodia, how soon would he be able to return to Thailand and get another visa-on-arrival?

He departs from Romania in a few days and has called his embassy already; they have said they won't be able to get him a TR visa in time, so he will be coming in with visa-on-arrival

Thanks! He mentioned that his local embassy is fully booked until he leaves, but I'll direct this to him and see if he can figure anything out

Hey guys, thanks for the quick responses. That is way stricter than I thought it was! I'll let him know; I'm not sure he'll have time to get a visa appointment at his local embassy, but at the very least, maybe he can get an onward ticket
