I’ll rephrase it. I choose not to spend $17,000 USD a year for insurance. I will hold on to that money for medical care. If I need care for something that’s going to cost a lot, I would fly home and use my government insurance. I should have explained better.
I tried 3 banks last week with my Thai daughter-in-law, a letter from my school and the schools government license. Have an ED visa. Denied at all 3 banks.
No longer able to open a bank account on certain visas. Definitely not on a tourist visa, not even an ED. You need a rental agreement, and a Thai phone number in your name also. Government has really cracked down,
you are correct! Sorry. But they do operate on what region you're in. I've had to send many papers to DC for my adult children, you would think I would remember that!
