I am applying for the 60 day tourist visa and wanted to apply at the one in New York because it’s the only one that doesn’t require proof of a flight out of Thailand. But, on the website is says the “encourage” people out of their jurisdiction to apply at the consulate closer to them..I am in Mew Mexico so technically I should apply at Los Angeles.

I just don’t want to get denied for the something like this

do you need proof of $6,000?

What I meant was that to apply for the visa in the first place I need proof of on going travel. I’m wondering if a flight to Laos would work for that as well as for the visa run.
