Anonymous participant 846 You're right. I have heard the UK asks for actual proof of booking. It is a strange request because why would it matter when you're booked to go if the visa is valid from the day of approval not from the date of your arrival. Even worse when you buy the ticket at their requst and then they hang you out to dry by not approving your visa in time for you keep the flight. Really nasty, in my opinion.

How many times does it have to be said that you shouldn't book a flight counting on your application to be approved by a certain time?!?!

Visiting the embassy isn't going to do a thing. You may as well cancel your flight and cool it until you HOPEFULLY get approved.
