It would be best to go to immigration around day 55 to get an extension for 30 days. Pay the fee. Or you can pay the 500 baht for overstaying.

Yes, was suggested to get a retirement visa if I wanted to stay long. 🙂

The multiple entry tourist visa may an option. It lasts 90 days, but you can spread that over 6 months.
