No, you pay overstay at the airport. 500 baht per day. My neighbour does it every year. But never more than 4 days. Never a problem.

Even if you make trips inside Thailand you need it. I you stay in a hotel and your passport get registered there it means you have a new address

Its stupid but its an old law. So when you come back you need to register again.

Markus, as a German you need to have 800 000 baht in a thai bank. I have an account with this amount and i leave it there.

Or you need a written proof like a Rentenbescheid of monthly minimum 65 000 baht, which have to be transfered monthly.

Happene to meon my morning walk. I didnt hear them and didnt see them. 2 dogs came out of nowhere and attacked me. One at each leg. I drove to the next local clinic who told me the nearest and cheapest place to get the shots. A few days later i saw them at the same place in front of a supermarket and they were just sitting there whagging theit tails. An organisation took them later because they attacked more people. Hope you wound is not so big.

i come to Thailand since 40 years and live here since 21. Sadly i have to say Thailand became a magnet for human trash. And its getting worse.
