ahh, I made that same mistake as well tbh. I had booked my flight ticket before I got approved, which is why I attached my confirmed flight ticket along when they requested proof of accommodation even though they didn’t ask for it. Was hoping that they’d see my ticket was already booked and maybe that would make them give me an answer earlier lol

If I were you, I would add a small explanation note stating that in India you do not need to register a company if you’re a sole proprietor, and that is why you’ve attached your GST certificate to prove your tax compliance and legitimacy of your freelance work. Just assume that people handling your application will have no idea about the documents and processes in India so try to make it as simple as you can for them to understand your application.

In terms of “financial records” I only really provided my bank statements but simply highlighted my payments and the closing balance to make it easier for them to decipher. Oh but I did provide my most recent tax returns so that kinda showed my gross income and total tax paid etc.

All the best for your application! 🙂

hey! So, I went kinda overboard with the documents I provided, and you probably do not need to send everything I did, but I just wanted to be safe and avoid the back and forth.

And yes, I had the same sections as you in the application. I merged the pdfs together and then compressed them so they would be under the 3MB requirement.

Also, I added the actual pdfs of the statements from the bank but I highlighted the transactions of the payments I received in yellow to make it easy to follow.

No, I don’t think you’re doing anything “wrong”, you can simply provide exactly what they’re asking for but be prepared with extra documents in case they request for it. I noticed that some people were asked for their company registration and/or their tax returns etc so I decided to add those in my initial application but you don’t really need to add them, and can wait to see if you get asked for it.

Finally, you can only apply online, there is no in-person process. But there isn’t any online payment or cash deposit option in most(maybe all?) Thai consulates in India anymore so I had to pay for the visa using a demand draft which I physically had to go to the consulate and hand it over to them.

thank you! I kinda went through what sorta additional documents people were asked on this group and decided to try to cover all bases lol
