its my understanding we got no tariff charges because my brother in law picked the boxes up , showing thai ID/passport. i would have shipped more but i heard expats were getting charged so much it wasnt worth it. i had mostly sentimental stuff - photos, college and High School yearbooks. My wife had some clothes shipped. I had told her we were only getting on the plane with 1 suitcase each/1 carryon each. We also had the dog in a crate that was the most stressful part of moving here.

looks for a local thai shipping company in the usa. my thai wife and I just moved from NY and she networked to find one that charged for 3 large boxes, total $300. took 3 months to arrive

i use it. I exported my cell number to google prior to leaving the USA and can call the usa for free, but I have to pay pennies to call other countries.

I married my Thai wife in the usa. if you did that you need to validate your marriage with state and federal government, as well as the thai embassy before you can get a marriage visa.

I bought a car in my wifes name and got my Thai license asap.had concerns that car insurance would not pay with my American license and IDP if there was an accident.
