DTV_Begpacker if you are not confusing them then your 'advise' is pretty idiotic, like "hey, to avoid filling out a form every 90 days just fly out and back instead! So much simpler!!!"

not really been case since 2020, don't need to refile when return to main accommodation anymore, unless left country

Anonymous participant 953 TM30 is not 90 day report, its notification of residence and while there is generally no enforcement, there is if you ever have to deal with immigration outside of a border checkpoint(as op did). Also its never wise to just ignore laws, because no enforcement today, does not mean no enforcement tomorrow (as has happened many times over the years in regards to TM30). TM30 is landlords job so just inform them them when go/return, 90 days is easy and little hassle

@Ad**
tm30 should be filed by landlord on day of arrival, if you don't move does not need to be redone. If you leave country and return needs to be redone. It also used to have to be redone if you stayed single night somewhere else in thailand but that was dropped in 2020

Note TM30 is NOT 90 day report

DTV_Begpacker TM30 is NOT 90 day report (TM47). Latter only needs to be done every 90 days, former is done day one on arrival at accommodation

Anonymous participant 808 Same as 90 day report, entering/exiting they never check, but if you ever deal with immigration offices for anything like a residency cert then they will

@Delima ********
if you leave country you definitely have to redo. The confusion is when you just go elsewhere in Thailand, used to be case that you had to redo even if was just single night, but that changed few years back, but many people and some IO still think its still the same

Anonymous participant Yes you need to redo after all trips abroad. You will find some saying you need to redo after just a single night away, even if don't leave the country, but that rule was dropped during covid.
