I'm in Thailand right now on Covid extension, i hold a Brazilian passport. I need to go to USA and return to Thailand.

So i just wanted to know if I could request a Tourist visa when I'm there or if applying for visa while I'm here (SMART, ED, etc.) and request a re-entry would be safer

You dont need it. I extended my ED visa in december and february and I didn't need any test.

I opened mine with Krungsi bank at Interchange Tower branch near BTS Asok. Besides the normal documents, a 1 year accomodation contract was needed.
