I went to CW this morning and asked all the questions to the immigration officer. This is what the officer told me (as usual subject to interpretation): In my case, my Non-O visa ME based on being married to a Thai, valid till the 1st of March 2021 but first 90 days expiring on the 31st of May 2020 (I normally have to leave the country and come back to activate 90 days again - can be done in normal time, but will be difficult to re enter Thailand when the borders are open) is covered by the Amnesty till the 31st of July 2020. If they change the Amnesty in the future and before the 31st of July, I can come back to CW and they will accept my application for a 60 days extension based on visiting my Thai family. Have a good day.
Good afternoon Benjamin, I am planning to go apply tomorrow, do I need proof of income and pictures taken in the house also or not necessary for this type 0f extension ? Thanks for your help.
Hi Tod, I know 2 months is long ... I like to plan ahead, just in case. If I apply for that 60 days extension, my Non O visa that I obtained in Laos will still be valid ? How to apply and where for that extension ? I am living in Bangkok. Thanks a lot for your input, you shed some light in those gloomy days.
