Thanks for all of replies, very helpful. We have traveled to Thailand many times but have not been in a position to plan such a long trip before.

Would the other option be just a case of extending a 60 day tourist visa to 90 in Thailand or would we need to leave the country. Sorry for all the questions but I’m just trying to get some clarity.
