Most offices will not accept a Google map but insist on the wife hand drawing one. Last year I supplied 4 photos of us, 2 inside and 2 outside. This year they want 8. You only need 2 months bank statements. The 400k is supposed to stay in the bank during 'under consideration' but mine never is as it goes back on deposit earning some interest until the next time.
You have a Multi Entry Tourist Visa METV It is valid for 6 months but you can get nearly 9 months if you time the last entry correctly. Every time you enter Thailand within the 6 months validity you will get 60 days permission to stay which can be extended by a further 30 days at a cost of 1900 baht. Others have already stated when the extension can be applied for. At the end of the 90 days, you have to leave Thailand but can immediately return for another 60 days and so on. The 6 month validity started the day you arrived in Thailand.
So have you got a free 60-day visa-exempt entry or a 60-day tourist(TR) Visa? I suspect it is the former so please stop calling it a visa as this only confuses ppl.
Common sense is unusual in Thailand 😃 I was told they want a translation as that will be how your name appears on the pink card and they needed to record my parent's name in Thai for some unexplained reason
Only Thai immigration can cancel your visa. The fact your old passport has been cancelled simply means it cannot be used for travel but it can be used to gain entry to a country and you have a valid visa. The only trouble is does the IO know this
The TM6 card was suspended about 2 years ago except for land border entries. However, they plan to launch an online registration for visa- exempt entries. They've postponed it once. Also, the visa-exempt entry is for 60 days not 2 months so don't mess up your return flight or it will cost you 1900 baht for an extention
You came in visa-exempt free for 60 days. US citizens cannot get a visa at the airport. You can get a visa on arrival at the Cambodian border and it costs 30 USD cash. There is a cash machine at the border if you don't have cash. The visa takes up a whole page of your passport. Unless you have had many visa-exempt entries recently then coming back will not be a problem. You will get a new 60 free entry stamp. Cambodia is lovely. It reminds me of Thailand 20 years ago. They accept dollars everywhere but you get your change in local currency which is worthless outside the country so use small $ bills.
