Many bills can be paid at 7-11. Also Lazada offers electricity bill payment for PEA and MEA using a foreign credit card.

How can a condo require you to pay with a Thai bank account?

Thousands of people come into Thailand every day for business meetings, factory visits and IT projects for example to give training. Lots of western people but loads of Japanese and other Asians . Many do it visa exempt or with a business visa. But I would say what some small business billing Thai companies directly would require you to have a work permit. Definitely not allowed on a DTV regardless of where the billing is done from.

I did the same thing.

1) Already had a Thai bank account and put the ฿800K in it.

2) Flew to Thailand (I had a tourist visa but visa exempt works the same)

3) got a non O from the local immigration. ฿2000

4) got a one year extension of stay for one year ฿1900

DTV must be issued outside of Thailand. For the Non O based on retirement this can be done at most local immigration offices. You don’t need an agent. Put the ฿800K in your Thai bank account and get the handout of the other requirements from the local immigration office.

my uncle lived to 110 and smoked 3 packs of cigarettes a day and a fifth of whiskey. Doesn’t mean everyone will have the same experience.

Unlikely to be asked by immigration but a good chance the airline will want to see a ticket out of Thailand. Really depends on the check in agent.
