Just buy property here. Gets you residency with which you can get a bank account! Forget all these 'agents' theyll just take your money.

But you want four months advance notice complete with bank statements and a hotel booking! Then upon submission you say the visa cannot be issued until 30 days before travel! Forget going to Thailand 'Land of Smiles', it's the land of bureaucracy and wiles.

oh dear, I was there from 2000 to 2012. I was back five years ago and notice the traffic lights at every bloody junction! Still a great spot though,I reckon.

I agree, we had a lovely place just off King Willy street at Unley Park before we shifted to Halifax Street. SA is very special - loved Gouger St and the Central Market.

Wow. Really? I loooved Adelaide when I lived there. The 15 minute city. I lived on Halifax street opposite that lovely Greek restaurant.

What do I need to know about obtaining a visa before traveling to Thailand?

Well, we live in a lovely gated community at the beach, there is zero crime, I fill up my Porsche for £25 and our energy bill is £10 a month. We pay no tax, get a decent beer for a couple quid. We have a golf course and a pool too. Moving would be a hard choice.....and I am sure We can get my wife to Thailand eventually....

Thanks, my Persian wife is travelling with her sister from West Hollywood. She had an Iranian passport. Perhaps the Thais are leery of Iranians....
