Bigd Thailand 100% YES. ALL long-term visas require 90-day check-ins. They didn't announce it now because the MFA bypassed Thai Immigration. Soon Thai Imm. will take control and announce the 90-day reporting requirement. Just a matter of time.

They won't reject you as long as you proved that you have money in the bank (the 500K requirement). They want the money and expertise to come into Thailand.

Awesome! I had no clue that Myenmar's Thai embassy was operating. Sad how the news negatively shapes a Westerners perspective. I thought the entire country was war-torn. Turns out it's just a small section in the north.

that’s not what’s going on at all. The new tax laws are to bring Thais who have foreign assets into the Thai tax system. Don’t listen to the YT hype. Most Thailand YouTubers have 0 idea what they’re talking about.

Anonymous participant you can always apply under category 2. I’m launching an agency soon with a DTV service. I can update you when I launch. Not sure admin will allow it if I want to add a link. I’ll ask admin and let you know.

right. You’ll have to provide company data proving you are employed and authorized to work remotely. If you’re doing it for yourself only, that doesn’t count as “remote work”.

If you “work” as a freelancer providing none-institutionalized investing “advice” that’s most likely considered illegal and will earn you a lightening fast application rejection.

**Not legal advice. I’m not a lawyer.

plain and simple, as long as you work outside of Thailand (no Thai clients), you are categorized as “remote worker” if you are in DTV visa status.

You can apply as a remote worker as a personal investor. Just follow along with their instructions.
