Perhaps a good approach is apply for the eVisa using the UK as my main address (which is accurate). If successful - but then BKK airport immigration denies the eVisa, I can request a visa on arrival. Thoughts?

I'll be happy to. But wouldn't this create problems at immigration when they ask where I'm flying from?

Or am I over thinking it? Do you know whether others have done this?

When I check eligibility status, the e-Visa website says No. I checked different locations - for Europe & USA it's possible.
