If I am not mistaken, I believe you need 800K baht in the bank 3 months prior when it is your initial retirement extension. Each year after, it is 2 months prior. Also your account can't drop below 400k at any time during the year. Have been retired here for a few years. I am aware that different offices may do different things, but those are the published rules. Have a great day.

These posts are so frustrating at times. Why don't people realize that the rules here are only guidelines, and each office has a set of its own. There is no set for the entire country. Rather than question the office and piss them off, do as they say. You won't get them to change their minds unless you "grease the skids" Remember where you are. TIT- This Is Thailand. Word to the wise, pissing off an immigration officer will get you browny points. LOL
