They are connected to the Border Control System so will see your dates of leaving the UK. Once you have been in Thailand a length of time they will Freeze your Pension.
Those who try to get around the system are liable to prosecution and Pension payments being stopped until the case is resolved.
Better to be honest as you will get caught in the end 🙏🏻
I was in and out inside 1½hours with both licences. Showed them my UK licence did eye and reaction test watched a video and had photo taken and licences issued. No theory or practical tests so I would advise you to get a Thai person to ask what is the process before you start and you go throwing your money away 😁
310baht plus 30baht for Medical Certificate and whatever the Immigration Office charge you for a Certificate of Residence. Total will be under 1000baht for Car plus Motorbike Licences.
If you cannot answer the simple questions in the test you should not be driving on the Thai roads
