The exchange rate was good and you could withdraw up to ฿100K. I tried to do it again 3 years ago and it didn't work. But Pavel says it does and if he's right then it would be good news. If Thai banks want a TIN number.

Which banks does it work? My virgin money debit card doesn't charge any fees.

That is strange. I'm on my third SIM card since I opened my bank account. The first two numbers are dead but were in my name. I haven't been notified yet. Krungthai bank.

The banks will check their records and phone numbers. They will notify people who's don't match before the 1st April. And might freeze account which don't.

It's because of scammers. They will also check that everyone's Thai SIM card has the same registered name as the account holder.
