Why would you be "surrendering" your passport for SIX WEEKS!!! Are you deranged?????

@John *********
First annual extension you can, provided you have the non-O 90-day visa, not the tourist or exempt visa.

I should say money in your home country bank account. I was being egocentric 😆

O and OA are similar. O requires 800k permanently in Thai bank account or 65k/month income (which you can spend straight away) but no health insurance. OA requires money in Australian bank account, but requires health insurance.

Yes I'm aware of that, but that wasn't the question was it? The question was immigration office v airport. I've always used airport.

@Paul ******
You can get the Multiple Re-entry Permit at the airport. Depends how many trips out of Thailand you plan during the validity of the visa/extension.

Airport much easier. You actually walk right past the desk at immigration. Takes ten minutes. I do it every time. Better than wasting a day trekking out to Immigration office

Oh and by the way, it's not really the bus which goes to the border. It's just a photo uploaded as a joke.

@Paul ******
Yes we know that, but it's commonly referred to as Poiphet border in these groups.

Forget swift. Use Wise in connection with Bangkok Bank. Cheaper and effective. Transfers are denoted as FTT. I've used it for years
