I'm fortunate that my lady over here has a corporate position in a large company and deals with many Immigration issues for foreign employees of the company, so I always take her with me for the annual extensions, as she knows more about the process than I ever would. In effect, she becomes my "agent" and I leave her to do all the talking and sorting of documents, and it seems to work. I do however meet the income criteria for the visa and would never use an agent to illegally cut corners as I enjoy living in Thailand and don't wish to get any black marks against my name

Many Australians are now favouring the OX, as Australians do not have to transfer money to Thailand for this visa and it gives us a FIVE YEAR entry stamp. You do need 400k insurance which is available for around $1000 a year, but it's well worth it.

Landry. You have to check your own embassy and consulates. These are the three available from the Sydney Consulate as well as the LTR

Depends what the agent does. If they're paying a bribe on your behalf, do you think that's legal? 😆😆😆

Great strategy! Nothing like waiting for airfares to increase to get 15 days!

If you've made an appointment at CW you're going to be disappointed

So the only way you can do it is to keep the 800k in the bank for the whole year, whilst at the same time importing 65k per month.

@Glenn ****
You can do it with an OA because you don't need 800k and you effectively get two years off the OA, which gives you ample time to open a bank account and get the 65k regime going

@Eric ******
Correct except you're not getting a one-year extension stamped in your passport when you re-enter. You're actually getting a one year entry stamp. Two very different entities.
