personally I’ve never had an issue either, always hear strange stories and I’ve also overstayed a visa, 4 days exactly and then crossed by land in poipet, tried disputing the fine with the Thai border force and she shouted the chief police officer over, with a big smile he said it plain and simple ‘’ you no pay you stay in Thailand and you pay more fine money’’ and we both had a laugh,I paid the fine, we shook hands ,the day continued and when I returned to Thailand I was given another entry without questions.

unfortunately in todays fragile world no one can be discriminated against and tbh all in all over the years all brits have played their part destroying Thais trust albeit it’s mainly the Gen Z’s lack of respect & class and Gen X coming over trying to ‘’buy out’’ all the women🫣 the Thais were tolerant for years due to the westerners bringing a lot of foreign currency into their economy which allowed them to expand but as years have gone by and everyone’s pocket has tightened, they’re beginning to resist,tighten laws & be less tolerant towards the behaviours of the westerners commencing on their streets

If you’ve been there a while or return regularly, do you blame them? I don’t

Truly one of the most special places in the world so it’s no coincidence people will do everything to experience paradise but 80% haven’t explored it past bangla road, khao san road or the massage parlour😬
