 how long are you going for? Can you apply for visa on arrival currently valid for 45 days)? It does not require the additional information you mention.

 okay well thanks for that as the email from the embassy states applications can be made 3 months ahead of date of departure. No wonder my head is swirling ! Thanks for the heads up
