What should I do if my tourist visa application for Thailand requests an invitation but we don't have one?

Hi everyone I'm hoping you can help, myself and my partner are in the process of applying for the tourist visa, we had read into it prior to applying and gathered all the necessary documentation, however, the visa site is now asking me to add a passport picture and identity the person inviting us to stay there e.g. Thai ID card, Passport, but we do not have anyone inviting us over. We are going as tourists and thought we'd only need proof of flights, accommodation and a bank statement in order to process with our visas. Has anyone had this problem or know what we need to do? Thanks in advance :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is facing an issue with their tourist visa application for Thailand, as the application process is requesting a passport photo and an invitation from a Thai resident, which they do not have. The community members suggest that they can leave the invitation field blank, and emphasize the importance of having a passport photo ready. It's noted that different consulates may have varying requirements, and while some past applicants encountered similar issues, others advise that no invitation is necessary for tourist visas.

true words. Thailand is struggling to get Covid under control and wealthy travelers keep trying to enter. Patience. Let the kingdom recover from the pandem

When I moved from Prague to Thailand in 2007 the Thai Consulate in Prague refused to give me a tourist visa unless I produced a letter of invitation by a Thai citizen (along with a copy of their ID), a copy of my utility bills in Prague, and 6 months of bank statements. Every consulate has their own rules.

how long are you going for? Can you apply for visa on arrival currently valid for 45 days)? It does not require the additional information you mention.

my guess is somewhere in Europe. Thai consulates there have very strict rules before they issue tourist visas.

You don't need anyone inviting you, just leave it blank.
