I am learning fron YouTube channel Comprehensible Thai. I found it the best, they only speak in thai not English which is the best way to acquire a language
Hi! There are actually 32 vowels, 12 short, 12 long and 8 medium (not short not long). Check again from your end because I just re-checked this with the teacher from YouTube I used to kearn Kruu Ware as well as with the an all and I confirmed there are 32 vowels ☺️
Total 44 consonants (2 not used anymore in writing), 32 vowels and 5 tones
For now I started on my own and planning to also join a class in near future. Check Kruu Ware teacher on YouTube she is great! I started only about 1 week ago and I already know the consonants, the vowels and have an idea about tones (is not natural yet though, like I have to think quite a bit when I try to read a simple word 🤣). Good luck to you!
Been here 3 months and just starting to learn it. I consider myself quick learner but I find it to be quite a difficult language. Perhaps many are not motivated just when they realize how long the alphabet is 44 consonants and 32 vowels, and on top of that 5 tones, which mean 1 word can have 5 different meanings based on tone used. However, I find it fun so far and can't wait to be able to speak in Thai ☺️
Hi! We live in Hua Hin as well and traveled outside province as well as outside country. We have a copy of our initial TM30 so as soon as we came back home from outside the province and from outside country, we went directly to immigration to tell them we been out and if they need to update out TM30 in their system. Both times we were told that if we are leaving at the same address then we don't have to update the TM30....so that was great because initially we were worried also that everytime we leave province or country, our landlord would have to deal with this hassle
I had some of my post removed as well but I never took it personally. I am sure they were repetitive posts or perhaps where off topic so I understand that
had to remove them/not allow them to be posted. I understand that as a moderator you have to to go through each post and make the wise decision wether that post should be allowed to go through ot not. Why take it personally? Go find a different group that allows all kind of posts/comments if that's what you want.
I received help/advice from Tod when needed and I am grateful for this! 🙏
