k rule to 65k pension/income rule. I took 12 months of bank statements showing min 65k international transfers to my bangkok bank account. The IO was not interested in rhe previous 12 months statements. He said i was ok for the year that just past because i stuck to the

k rule. He said when i come to renew in 12 months, i will need to show the previous 12 months international tranfers by getting a certified statement from bank. Nothing was mentioned about embassy or consulate letter.

looks very straight fwd to me - immigration officer showed me example of another expats statements. Looks very straight fwd and no need for bank letter same day as going to immigration.

- google translate is great. There is a feature where you simply point your camera at the thai words and it translates in front of your eyes. Also will translate thai documents in your photo gallery. Audio translate also.
bht transfer from UK bank and it was in my bangkok bank account in 13 seconds. But i agree it can take longer but normally due to weekends and thai bank holidays.
- will your kids be attending school in Thailand ? If 'yes' then as far as i am aware, they will need an Education visa - its possible you could then be their dependants. Another option perhaps worth exploring (unless i have got it wrong).
