Hello! Have questions about the DTV visa. Will be moving to Thailand in January 2027. I have myself and 4 children and will be retiring. I am only 40 so, I have to get something other than retirement visa. I manage my portfolio does that count as work? 😛

We are looking into getting the retirement visa. I am 51, my husband 54 and we have 2 kids under 18. Our initial thought was to apply for the visa in my name and have my husband and kids added as dependents.

On some websites this seems a reasonable way to go, but others say that is the spouse is over 50 they need their own repent visa and another 800k in the bank.

Are there any foreign couples who can shed some light on this? Can we go the dependents route?
