Marcus Baker I know a considerable number of Thai British marriages. Around 80% have ended in divorce.

The actual statistics would be more reliable than based on personal acquaintances

up to you. I have used Krungsri since HSBC existed retail banking in Thailand. My wife & daughter use Kasikorn. Never had a problem.

All banks, IME, say allow 5 working days for International transfers btw.

I recommend Krungsri. Banked with them after HSBC closed their retail banking in Thailand. Never had a problem.

Allan Rawai I’m the same. Transferred to them from HSBC when HSBC closed their retail operations in Thailand. Never any problems. Japanese owned.

Come to Thailand with your visa. Have you decided where you are going to live? Once decided visit the Immigration Office that is responsible for that area. They will give you all the forms and information you need to apply for the 12 month extension.

Also, set up your bank accounts and deposit the required amount to apply as soon as you can.

There is no need to use an agent.
