@Keith *******
then you clearly never went to Bangkok. Where expats gather en masse for endless fun, food and adventure. I'm sure Nakhon Nowhere was interesting though....

The investment account ‘should’ work as long as it’s showing a $100k balance for a year

agree - Thai immigration officers are reliably professional.

looking forward to it. Will have to use it this month. And they have that visibility for 20 years. Nothing new. Just a rehashing of the old paper forms. Nothing to concern anyone in any way.

oh you must be new. Interesting that you seem completely unaware about how the world works. This ain’t the UK. Quit bringing your slovenly society to countries that don’t want it. This is Thailand thx

we all know people doing it for years. It’s how SE Asia works.

Are they abusing the system? Of course not, they are using the system that exists. There is no luck involved, it’s how the system works and there are many ways it gets used by different people in different circumstances.

You can ‘fully expect’ their ‘luck’ to end all you wish. But you will be waiting a very, very long time. It’s been roughly the same for several decades.

yes I do realize that from your post. There is nothing to stop people from shifting across borders back and forth as the region is quite small and it often makes great sense for SE Asia tourists to use borders fluidly. And there is no problem doing that. Of course you could be questioned at anytime by Immigration officers in any nation. They are just doing their job and making sure. Have a great trip
