You cannot stay more than 365 days per year

Again, lack of effort. Or wilfully naive. Ignorance is not as blissful as you seem to think. Do you have google or AI? Let's see if you can figure it out all by yourself...

don't be lazy with your search. The obvious best value and best visa is LTR. Just has higher financial thresholds than DTV

The challenge with long term tourist visas (which does lower the admin hassle for tourists) is that it would result in substantial revenue loss for visa. Never say never, but seems highly unlikely. For 10 year, they already have LTR, O-X and Thai Privilege. But the common thread there is that they are not offered to backpackers etc. Aimed at HNW visitors.

Vietnam does not. Although Thailand does have a 10 year visa (LTR)

there are no guidelines with an agent. That’s why people use them. They do all the work for you and allows you free time to enjoy your time here. I can understand Derek’s frustration with the silly nuances of a marriage visa.

With that said, LTR and DTV visas sure make life a LOT easier for anyone who qualifies. Best visas Thailand has ever offered.

no Thai visa is ‘very straightforward’. Their very nature is hilarious. And annoying. And time consuming.

That’s why agents and these pages are booming

there is no ban for a 30 day overstay. Fine only. 15,000 baht.

yes - I agree. That’s where having 500-1000 baht comes in handy. I would say if on overstay already (never a great idea- but many do), tread very carefully. And be extremely deferential if you find yourself in a spot.
