If you have applied in Australia, whilst being in Europe, you will quite possible be rejected and forfeit the money. A face to face interview is unlikely, but if they request it and you don't comply, they will also likely reject the application and you forfeit the money. You could have simply applied in the country you are currently in. Let us know how this plays out.

The only critical ‘qualification’ for Thai Privilege is having the cash to pay for it. It’s an excellent visa though.

You need to qualify for LTR. You need to pay for Thai Elite.
