The 2,000 fine is a one payment as far as I’m aware unless rules have changed it’s a 2,000 fine nothing more nothing less you can do your report 15 days before and up to 7 days after you can also do it on line
non O visa is a yearly visa nothing is guaranteed in life especially all the constant changes they do in Thailand the only long term visa in Thailand is the 20 year elite which costs a million baht if you had to leave Thailand in an emergency and your O visa expires you have to start the process all over again !
I think you need to get it transferred over it’s not expensive to do and always keep your expired passports as sometimes thai immigration might ask to see them
so basically you pay 650,000 for a 5 year meet and greet at the airport most of the thai visa’s are a joke I’m about to switch from an O visa to a 5 year DVT I’m going to do the Thai cookery course the last time I left Thailand was 18 years ago so I’m looking forward to taking trips to neighboring countries every 180 days
I thought the elite visa did everything for you that was the whole idea of it as far as I’m aware there is no charge for 90 day visa and you can do it on line I always thought if you have the elite visa they do it all on your behalf
Well done excellent news was there any problem taking a car or your dog in from Thailand as I would most probably do the same drive and take my cat with me
